ライオンズクラブ国際協会は第92回国際大会を、アメリカ・ミネソタ州ミネアポリスにておいて、世界のライオンズクラブ代議員が参加して、2009年7月6日〜7月10日の5日間開催した。
7月7日には恒例のライオンズパレード、8日は国旗式や開会式とアル・プランデル国際会長の年次報告、またコリン・パウエル元米国国務長官がボランティア活動について基調演説を行い、地域奉仕におけるライオンズのリーダーシップを讃えた。
7月10日は新国際会長に選出されたドイツ出身のエバハルト・J・ヴィルフス氏の宣誓式等を終えて、盛大に閉会式を終え全プログラムを終了した。 |
